Data Applied Web is a Data Mining, Data Visualization, and Business Intelligence software tool[1] produced by Data Applied, a software vendor headquartered in Washington State. Its products are primarily used to analyze survey, marketing, and clickstream data.

Products

Data Applied Web implements a collection of visualization tools and algorithms for data analysis and data mining. The product supports several types of analytical tasks, including visual reporting, tree maps, time series forecasting, correlation analysis, outlier detection, decision trees, association rules, clustering, and self-organizing maps. All analysis techniques are based on the assumption that data is available in the form of data rows with fixed attributes.

Data Applied Web includes two variants: the on-premise and the cloud version. The on-premise version is designed for Intranet scenarios, while the cloud version allows access over the Internet. One of Data Applied's key building block is an XML Web API. The API can be used to submit data, request analysis, and download results. While programs can be written to analyze data remotely using the API, the most common configuration is for users to analyze data using Data Applied's Web client. On the server, data analysis requests submitted by clients are converted into SQL commands. Finally, records are organized around the concept of secure workspaces, allowing users to share data sets, analysis tasks, and analysis results for collaborative purposes.
