Evolutionary developmental robotics, evo-devo-robo for short, integrate systematically evolutionary robotics, epigenetic robotics and morphogenetic robotics to study the evolution, physical and mental development and learning of natural intelligent systems in robotics systems. The theoretical foundation of evo-devo-robo include evolutionary developmental biology (evo-devo), evolutionary developmental psychology, developmental cognitive neuroscience etc. More detailed discussions on evolutionary developmental robotics and its relationship to evolutionary robotics, epigenetic robotics and morphogenetic robotics can be found in [1]
