Independent and reliable sourcing helps verify that a topic is citable to sources independent of itself. This independent and reliable sourcing helps show that an article on the topic can be written from a neutral point of view and not contain original research.

A tool that can be placed on any article talkpage is {{find}} which allows any editor to click and see what several Internet searches may have to offer at that time. For a subject that may have several names, spellings, or otherwise need more than one search string, multiple parameters can easily be placed allowing easy access to all of the searches. Additionally an article title may not yield the most accurate search so tweaking several search strings to find sources may prove invaluable.

Usage

Place the template on the article talkpage underneath the project banners at the top of the page:

{{notice|* {{find|article title or search string}}<br/> * {{find|additional search string}}<br/> * {{find|additional search string}}<br/> * {{find|additional search string}}}}
