The triangular function is defined as:

\operatorname {tri} (t)={\begin{cases}1+2t;&-{1 \over 2}\leq t\leq 0\\1-2t;&0<t\leq {1 \over 2}\\0&{\mbox{otherwise}}\end{cases}}
