GeoBulb® LED Bulbs
The signature GeoBulb® is one of the first 60-watt direct replacement LED light bulbs. The GeoBulb® is the same size as a conventional incandescent (A19-type) bulb and can be used as a direct replacement in any indoor open fixture. The GeoBulb® has a standard, screw-in type Edison base, and is also mercury and lead free. The original GeoBulb [1]was never released to the public. Initial runs of the bulb were only used by industry professionals and a few members of the press.
In early 2009 [2], C. Crane Company introduced a new version of this LED light bulb called the GeoBulb® II. The GeoBulb® II uses High Power white LEDs and produces the approximate amount of light as a 60-watt incandescent bulb. The GeoBulb® II is the same size as a regular incandescent light bulb, has a long warranty, and uses only 7.5 Watts.
The signature GeoBulb® II is UL Listed and FCC approved. The power factor of the GeoBulb® II currently hovers around 83. This number expresses the efficiency of the circuit and has one of the highest efficiency ratings of any LED bulb.
