Usage
This template should be placed on MediaWiki talk pages and a corresponding documentation page for the MediaWiki page itself should be created in the MediaWiki interface manual.
Despite the wording of the message when viewed here, this page is not part of the interface and is not protected.
Alternately, a brief explanation of the MediaWiki page's function can be provided directly in the template, which changes the wording of the manual page notice: {{Interface explanation|Brief explanation}} resulting in:
 | Brief explanation This interface message or skin may also be documented on MediaWiki.org or translatewiki.net. The page forms part of the MediaWiki interface, and can only be edited by administrators and interface editors. To request a change to the page, add {{edit fully-protected}} to this page, followed by a description of your request.
