Template:PBB RGM domain family, member A, also known as RGMA, is a human gene.[1] A September 2009 publication in Biochemical J. looked at the molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry of the repulsive guidance molecule family [2] and proposed a structural model for the RGM family of proteins based on Ab initio modeling. In addition, a detailed evolutionary analysis of the RGM family of genes may provide a foundation for future experiments in the field (of RGMc / Hemojuvelin and the homologues RGMa and RGMb found in the nervous system). Beyond this model, structural information for RGMa is lacking, though there is some evidence in the homologous RGMc field about select isoforms and their interacting proteins which may prove useful for studying RGMa (see Hemojuvelin/RGMc).
