Why a separate article?

Why is this a separate article. While its categorization is useful, Wikipedia has support for proper categorization (see Wikipedia:Category) and I do not understand why we need this second (less integrated) method? Aspects of this article that can not be turned into wikipedia categories should be merged into the main Human-computer interaction article in my opinion. --Ben Houston 04:38, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I say leave this article as is for now. Most, if not all of it, should be turned into sections with commentary in human-computer interaction, which may take a while to happen, but for now it serves as a useful high-level map of the mess of stuff on wikipedia related to HCI. If it gets turned into "proper" categorizations, this could be quite messy (it's not clear at all what the correct categories should be) and make it difficult for authors/editors to see a high-level picture since only 1 level will be visible at a time in the hierarchy.
