Information Based Architecture (IBA) is an architecture firm based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The practice was founded in 1998, in London, United Kingdom, as a partnership between architects Mark Hemel and Barbara Kuit.

IBA was shortlisted in 2002 for the Young Architects of the Year Award in the United Kingdom. In 2003 and 2004 the office received a scholarship for research from the Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture.

In 2004, an Arup and IBA collaboration developed the concept design for the Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower.[1]
