Flashy Python

Flashy Python is a project by Alec Ounsworth started not long ago. The debut album, Skin and Bones, was self-released in 2009.

History

Ever since Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's rise to indie fame, frontman Alec Ounsworth had dropped hints at a possible supergroup side-project involving members of other indie bands, including Dr. Dog. After remaining mum on the topic for years, Ounsworth revealed in an interview with Pitchfork Media that the Flashy Python album would finally drop sometime in 2009.[1]

Skin and Bones was released on August 11, 2009 to absolutely no pre-release press from the band. It spontaneously showed up on the band's official website available for streaming of the entire album and also purchasing details for those who wanted to download the album in high-quality mp3, or buy a physical copy on CD or Vinyl.
