SignPlot is a software application for UK sign design, support and foundation, developed and sold by Buchanan Computing[1]. Initially created in late 1979 as a university project by Simon Morgan, SignPlot was one of the first programs in the UK to calculate signs dimensions from users inputted x height. Newer versions of the software allow to generate traffic signs and fully automate the layout and spacing rules of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 and Traffic Signs Manual[2].
