Interfaces is a scholarly journal about operations research that was created by The Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS), now part of INFORMS. The refereed journal's distinguishing feature is its case-study style: It offers examples of how operations research theory has been applied in businesses and organizations. [1][2] [3]

Interfaces, a bimonthly journal of INFORMS, is dedicated to improving the practical application of OR/MS to decisions and policies in today's organizations and industries. Each article provides details of the completed application, along with the results and impact on the organization. Interfaces is essential reading for analysts, engineers, project managers, consultants, students, researchers, and educators.[4]

An annual feature is an issue with papers by the previous year's Franz Edelman Award participants. [5] [6] [7]
