Background: The Parys Sylver ('PS') article was recently deleted at AfD for the third time. I won't go into all the boring detail here (there's more at the linked AfD if you need it) - but basically, for several years, there has been a calculated, web-wide attempt to generate 'buzz' for this non-notable person using many different methods, using user-submitted content sites (including Wikipedia) to manufacture grandiose claims, claims of associations/feuds with various celebrities and various other controversial stuff that would violate BLP to even discuss here.
Anyhow - the issue at hand. Kookee22 created the PS article for the third time. Firegirl223, a user inactive since 2006 (and a previous creator of the PS article) appeared to vote 'keep'. Firegirl223 is a user who has aggressively promoted PS (and his alleged projects) in the past and appears (based on my familiarity with the situation) to use the same style of writing and (circular) debate as Kookee22 employed at the AfD - as did the IP 72.208.58.63. Both Kookee22 and the IP seem familiar with and make reference to things that happened on WP years previously too, which also leads me to believe that they are not new users.
Now, going further back (and I realize that this is probably stale as far as checkuser is concerned - but I ask you to consider the behavioural evidence). The PS article was first created by (the blocked) User:Cherryrain - another user who writes and argues in the same WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT style as both Kookee22 and Firegirl223. This user, however is also connected to a sneaky hoax attempt, involving quite a few sockpuppets back in 2005. See user contribs and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CrystalCherry (including talk) for the full drama. This was also aggressively promoted all over the web in a similar manner to PS at the time (free press release sites, etc.) and took a lot of time and effort to resolve. TBH, It's probably the case that all the users mentioned here are sockpuppets of the blocked user behind the CrystalCherry case.
Now, take a look at the article history of Trevor Blumas - Firegirl223, Cherryrain and Parys (another blatant WP:DUCK case, as far as I'm concerned) - all making vastly similar, hugely BLP-violating edits (note: PS claims to be writing a book about the above mentioned situation).
Right. I realize that this is a fairly complicated situation involving far more than just the latest AfD, so if you need more details or clarification, just ask. Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 09:11, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
There are actually threads about this. Believe whatever you want. Kookee22 (talk) 18:17, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
