The Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group was established by Piet van Leeuwen Jr. in 1924 in Zwijndrecht. Soon after the end of World War II the company became active internationally. In 1947 the company opened a subsidiary in Vilvoorde in Belgium. After this followed by the opening of subsidiaries in France, Great Brittain and Germany between 1950 and 1970. In the years to follow the company took it's first global footsteps. Starting in 1975 with North America soon followed by South East Asia with the opening of a stockkeeping facility and salesoffice in Singapore in 1979. In 1983 the first location in Australië started. After the year 2000 the company extended its global presence more. Especially by the start of offices, stocklocations and joint ventures in China, the Middle East and Central Europe.

Company activities

The Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group is an international industrial distributor of steel pipes, valves and fittings. We supply our products and services to companies in a wide range of industrial sectors, including agriculture, building and infrastructure, chemicals, energy, mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, transport, food, and home and interior finishing.

Internationaal

The company has dozens of locations throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and North America. The majority of the locations maintain stocks ranging from carbon and alloy steel to stainless steel products, and each of them is equipped with modern facilities for the storage and distribution of pipes, valves and fittings. At this moment there are approximately 40 locations in 18 countries on 4 continents active.
