Player-managers used to be not uncommon in late-1800's/early-1900's baseball from what I understand.. maybe someone with a little bit of old-timey baseball knowledge could expound on that? Rethcir 09:04, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The only external link seems to be broken, as of April 25, 2009, leaving this article without any sources at all. Although the information about baseball player/managers seems to be correct, I am adding a no references template. I have no knowledge of soccer player/managers, but since they appear to exist, they are examples of managers wearing team uniforms, but I don't know if professional soccer managers wear team uniforms otherwise. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Notable" lists

They are obviously selective, so I don't see why they should be included. We should just be stating what a player-manager is. - Dudesleeper / Talk 12:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
