Distal Revascularization and Interval Ligation
Appearance
DRIL (Distal revascularization-interval ligation) is a surgical method of treating vascular access steal syndrome.
History
DRIL was first proposed by Harry Schanzer and colleagues in 1988. [1]
Procedure
It involves the creation of a short distal bypass and the ligation of the artery just distal to the AV anastomosis.
