This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Davidgothberg (talk | contribs) at 06:08, 10 April 2009 (moved Template:Example images/doc to Template:Example files/doc: Now also mentions the sound file "Example.ogg". (And namespace "image" has been renamed to "file".) Per discussion at File talk:Example.jpg#"Example images" notice box.). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This is the {{example images}} notice box.

It can be placed on the "example" file's description pages and at the top of their talk pages. It explains how and when the example files should and shouldn't be used. At least the images have constantly been confusing people, so an explanation is needed.
