User:Programming gecko
![]() Hi! I am programming gecko. As you might have guessed, I am a programmer (well, a programming student, actually), although I am not actually a gecko. I have been editing Wikipedia anonymously and sporadically for a rather long time; I finally signed up for an account on November 28, 2008. My main interests are computer programming and software engineering, and I will probably be editing pages about those subjects frequently, especially pages about Java, the programming language that I know best. Other major interests include web design, Catholicism, the Latin language, the politics of the United States, the War on Terror, Andorra, and Vatican City. I also seem to be finding myself drawn to mundane "clean-up" tasks, like removing links to disambiguation pages. Current tasks: Nothing specific at the moment. I have a global account, and have edited under the name "programming gecko" on the Wikimedia Commons and the French Wikipedia. For those interested (and because I don't like how the userboxes clutter up the page), I would rate myself as "advanced" in the Java, JavaScript and Python languages, as "intermediate" in C, C++ and PHP, as "beginner" in assembly language (x86 and MIPS), C#, Lisp and Perl, and as "1337" in TI-BASIC. I am also acquainted with LOLCODE, and would like to learn INTERCAL just for the fun of it. Straying out of programming languages and into web design, I am very proficient with both XHTML and CSS. |
