Union of Democratic Forces for Unity (Template:Lang-fr, UFDR) is the rebel group fighting against the government in the Central African Republic Civil War. The CAR has accused UFDR of being backed by the government of Sudan.

The UFDR leader, Michel Detodia, has said Central African Republic president François Bozizé has ruled on an ethnic basis since seizing power from President Ange-Félix Patassé in March 2003. "Many people from other ethnic groups and different political parties are ostracised and banned from participating in the management of the country," he said.

On April 13 2007, a peace agreement between the government and the UFDR was signed in Birao. The agreement provides for an amnesty for the UFDR, its recognition as a political party, and the eventual integration of its fighters into the army.[1]
