Missing Image

Message 1

Somebody renamed this picture and it is gone from here. It is in a different place from the links at the bottom. Somebody needs to clean it up and make them all point to the same place. 74.138.48.123 14:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC) PaCkMaN[reply]

Some URLs and Thumbnails Still Work

I don't understand every detail of Wikipedia technology, so I'll just dump my observations about the missing image here. Maybe someone can make a sense out of them.

Below is the original URL that doesn't work:

However, if you add only a question mark or a slash after this URL, it shows the picture:

It seems related to the fact that certain-sized (200px, 300px, but not 199px or 201px) thumbnails of this image work—without the original file working:

  • \[\[Image:Lunar_libration_with_phase2.gif|200px|thumb|right|Resized thumbnail\]\] (did work—updated 06:28, 27 December 2006 (UTC))
  • \[\[Image:Lunar_libration_with_phase2.gif|The original file\]\] (didn't work—updated 06:28, 27 December 2006 (UTC))

No Problem Anymore

Everything works properly now. I disabled wikicode of the illustrations in my previous message to spare user's browser resources because they don't illustrate the problem properly anymore anyway in its absence.
