The Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics is located in in Halle (Saale), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was founded in 1992, as follow up of the Academy of Science Institute of Solid Sate Physics and Electron Microscopy and moved into the new buildings between 1997 and 1999. Degree program

  • The MPI of Microstructure Physics offers the Ph.D program "International Max-Planck Research School (IMPRS)

of Nanostructures" together with the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials.
