Sprog can refer to:

  • a child, sprog being a slang term for a child
  • Sprog (software), a graphical tool to build Perl programs by plugging parts together.
  • a term used for new recruits or young soldiers
  • A South African designed Sailing Dinghy. It was designed after WWII by Herbert McWilliams to be built from marine plywood. It became a very successful class in South Africa and even appeared in England in small numbers for a while. It is 14' in length. A succesfull conversion allowed Sprogs to be built from foam sandwhich GRP.
  • A "Sprog-Off," a contest generally performed by two or more new soldiers involving various challenges and tasks, normally in a race against the clock. The loser, or losers, generally have to perform other tasks to make up for their inabilities, general lack of courage, or complete lack of moral fibre.
  • a plant that takes the place of grass on the fictional planet Snaiad.
