Operation Prairie was a military operation of the Vietnam War near the demilitarized zone. It was a follow-on to Operation Hastings, aimed at eliminating NVA forces south of the DMZ.

During August, the 4th Marines saw heavy fighting with the NVA 342B division. On the 27th of August, fighting was taken over by the 2nd battalion of the 7th Marines. Battles were fought around Mutter's Ridge, the Razorback, and the Rockpile.
