Re-add text

It is requested that the page at MediaWiki:Cite error refs without references/Archive1 be created. (edit · history · last · links)

This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, so that an editor unfamiliar with the subject matter could complete the requested edit immediately.

Edit requests to fully protected pages should only be used for edits that are either uncontroversial or supported by consensus. When the request has been completed or denied, please add the |answered=yes parameter to deactivate the template.

I don't like the red error message that appears when there is no <references /> tag on a page, which seems to be the general consensus, but the text should be added back into this page, because the error "Cite error:" still appears. At least with the text, editors can tell what the actual error is. Another option would be to blank the text in MediaWiki:Cite error. Gary King (talk) 02:02, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
