This page provide conventions for wiki area maps, to display complex area maps : with several area, and respective labels.

If you use these conventions to completing background such as topographic ones, apply a transparancy of 40%.[citation needed]

Convention

The goal of a free, on-line encyclopedia is furthered when maps are properly designed with a clear, consistent look and feel. The following are the suggested standard colours for maps:
