PODC, the ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing, is an academic conference in the field of distributed computing.

PODC is organised annually, and it is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery special interest groups SIGACT and SIGOPS.[1] PODC was first organised on 18–20 August 1982, in Ottawa, Canada.[2] In 2009, 28th PODC will be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.[3]

In the 2007 Australian Ranking of ICT Conferences, PODC was the only conference in the field of distributed computing that received the highest ranking, "A+".[4]
