Basic mathematics is Mathematics in its simplest form and involves the combining of strings of integers of a given value, producing a third integer (the result) after a certain process of calculation. Simply stated, by applying one or more of the four basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to two or more numbers, a result is obtained.

Basic mathematics is otherwise known as Elementary arithmetic or simply Arithmetic.
