The Intern Development Program (IDP) is administered through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB)[1]. Completion of the program is required by various state registration boards as a prerequsite to taking the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE).

Through the IDP mentorship system, interns receive advice and guidance from practitioners. The IDP supplementary education system provides a variety of learning resources designed to enrich training.
