Diagram of a thread angle

The thread angle of a screw is the angle between the threads. This is a defining factor for the shape of a screw thread. For a standard V-thread this is 60°. For Acme threads it is 29°. For trapezoidal threads it is 30°. For buttress threads it is 45°. For square threads it is 0°.
