Block scheduling
Appearance
Block scheduling is a type of academic scheduling in which each student has fewer classes per day for a longer period of time; academic days alternate, with students having half of their classes on one day and the other half on the other.
Block schedules are common in middle and high schools in the American public school system. Usually they involve having three long classes of about one hour and 45 minutes on alternating days and a single class of about 50 minutes every day.
