The Chernobyl Recovery and Development Programme (CRDP) has been launched based on the recommendations of the report “The Human Consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident. A Strategy for Recovery”, initiated by the UN Agencies in February. Since 2003 CRDP is constantly working to mitigate long-term social, economic and ecological consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe, to create more favorable living conditions and promote sustainable human development in Chernobyl affected regions.

Working Areas

CRDP works in the 4 most Chernobyl-affected oblasts in Ukraine, namely Kyivska, Zhytomyrska, Chernihivska and Rivnenska.
