Instructions

Foreword

This questions page may be used to pose a single question to every candidate in this year's election. (Every candidate will then be able to respond to that question's single instance on the one page.)

Eligible voters

Wikipedians who are eligible to vote (see the main candidate page for voting criterion [link to go here, when the criterion are completed]) are also eligible to post questions, both on the individual question pages of candidates, and on this "portal question page."

Questions should be non-duplicative, brief, and rigidly-relevant questions. Questions which do not meet all three of these criterion will be removed (although they may be placed instead on a candidate's individual Question page; a link is available underneath their candidate statement). There is no 'election committee' serving this year's election, but any administrator may evaluate a question and deem it to not meet the question criterion specified above; should a question removal be disputed, a discussion may be initiated on the talk page.

Non-eligible voters

If you do not meet the criterion for voting, then it is requested that you do not put questions to candidates this year, in the interests of keeping the quantity of questions manageable.

Candidates

It is strongly suggested that answers to questions do not exceed approximately 1600 characters per question (not counting spaces). Please do not link to another page containing an extended answer, although relevant links used for descriptive purposes are fine; although you may wish to request that the question be asked on your individual question page instead (where no character limit is imposed), where after you may point users in the direction of your extended response, some sort of answer should be given on this page. These restrictions are necessary due to the sheer number of voters and candidates, and if we are to keep this portal question page useful for voters.
