The "I'm a PC" campaign is a current (mid-September, 2008–present) television advertising campaign created in-house by Microsoft to promote its computer operating system, Windows Vista. This campaign replaces[1] a series of commercials featuring the pairing of Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates[2], which failed to

find an audience.

The commercials feature prominent and popular individuals claiming "I'm a PC", an effort by Microsoft to promote both its Windows Vista operating system as well as the advantages of a PC over an Apple Macinstosh. The ads featured such personalities as medical doctor and writer Deepak Chopra, actor Eva Longoria, and singer Pharrell Williams. The campaign was created in response to the "Mac Vs. PC" campaign created by Apple.

The $300 million dollar advertising campaign has been roundly criticized for having been created largely on Apple computers. As well, at least three of the aforementioned personalities are all notable Apple supporters, and Microsoft purposely scrubbed Apple-specific background images from the commercials, calling it "metadata" in a press release.[3]
