Web-based simulation
The term web based simulation (WBS) emerged in the 1990s, and is typically used to denote the invocation of simulation programs over the Internet, specifically through a web browser (Page et al. 1998)[1], (Page and Opper 2000)[2], (Byrne et. al 2006)[3]. Increasingly, the web is being looked upon as an environment for providing modelling and simulation applications, and as such, is an emerging area of investigation within the simulation community (Guru et al. 2000)[4], (Harrell and Hicks 1998)[5], (Byrne et al. 2006)[3].
