JavaStation
Appearance
The JavaStation is a Network Computer (NC), that has been developed by Sun Microsystems between 1996 and 2000.
The hardware has been based on the design of the Sun SPARCStation, a very succesful architecture of UNIX workstations. The JavaStation, as a NC, lacks a Harddisk, floppy- and cdrom-drive. It also differs from many SPARC computers because it has a standard PC PS/2 and USB interface and a VGA connector.
Flavors
There are several "flavors" of the JavaStation:
- The JavaStation-1 aka "Mr. Coffee"
