Is "OpenOffice.org XML" a proper name?

I don't see it used as the name of the file format in any of the references. Is this its proper name? Thanks, WalterGR (talk | contributions) 23:52, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably no more or less official than the name "Microsoft Office XML formats." I suppose the name "OpenOffice.org XML formats" would be more consistent with the other article, for what that's worth (to me: not much). —Fleminra (talk) 01:26, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, as far as I understand what is today known as the Open Document Format started as the StarOffice XML file format (circa 1999) and then the OpenOffice.org XML file format (circa 2000). There are short references in the specifications, e.g. "Introduction to StarOffice XML" (see the oldest easily available draft at coverpages.org (PDF 1.4MB).
