The Computer and Information Security task force exists to centralize efforts to improve Wikipedia's coverage of related matters, to include:
- Terminology (firewall, hacker (computer security), etc.)
- Events, outages, and notable virus/worm outbreaks (Morris Worm, etc.)
- Practitioners (Dan Geer, Marcus J. Ranum, etc.)
