Redemption Value is the value that is placed on a person or institutions head after they do something bad to you. It is seen as the payment you will make to get them back.

California Redemption Value is the money which a beverage producer has to pay to the state for each can or bottle which leaves a factory, and will only be given back when an empty can or bottle is taken by the producer for the purpose of recycling.
