CES production function = Constant returns to scale production function.

The production function is then said to be homogenous of degree one. That is if all inputs are skaled up by a constant k, total production will also be scaled up by k.

In general if the production function exhibits constant returns to scale it is likely to have diminishing returns to each factor of production.
