Extent File System

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is an old revision of this page, as edited by TehKittyCat (talk | contribs) at 15:11, 31 July 2008 (It is called a 'File System' not a 'Filing System'). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

There is also a (different) file system called EFS under Microsoft Windows 2000.

EFS (Extent File System) is an older block file system used in Silicon Graphics' IRIX versions prior to the 5.3 release.

EFS has been superseded by XFS.
