The Linux Symposium is one of the foremost Free and Open Source conferences in the world, bringing together 650+ software developers, industry professionals and enthusiasts from over 25 countries to discuss the latest emerging technologies and ways to improve the functionality and integration. The Symposium features multiple keynote presentations, mini summits on key Linux and Open Source projects to be held in the day(s) before the conference, in depth tutorials, birds of a feather sessions, papers on the most current topics in Free and Open Source and speakers from outside the industry who will share their experiences with Free and Open Source software and its impact.

While 2008 marked the 10th anniversary of the conference, organizers and attendees alike are looking forward to 2009 when the Linux Symposium goes "on the road" to Montréal, Quebec.
