Clarification?

"... followed by ligation of complementary double stranded adaptors to the ends of the restriction fragments."

I don't understand this phrase. Similarly "... ligation of restriction half-site specific adaptors to all restriction fragments.". Presumably this is the same thing?

"A subset of the restriction fragments are then amplified using two primers complementary to the adaptor and restriction site fragments."

Does this mean that the primers span the end of the fragment and the adaptor?
OK, I think I got it now... I have tried to reword the article to make this clearer, but I may have screwed it up a bit in the process... --Dan|(talk) 13:22, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
