Wikipedia:Historical archive/New user log
Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! If you're new to our community, drop us a note here and tell us a little bit about yourself. Most important, we would like to know about your interests (for which we have a separate page), your areas of knowledge, and the sorts of things you'd like to work on here at Wikipedia. That makes it easier for us to help you start editing. We'd also appreciate it if you told us how you found out about Wikipedia.
- To add yourself to the list:
- post a comment,
- enter your name as the subject/headline (which will make a new header for you in the log), and
- sign your name at the end of your comment by typing four tildes: ~~~~. (This code makes a link to your user page, which readers can use to welcome you personally if they like).
- Your comments will then be added to the bottom of the list.
- To add yourself to the list:
You may also like to add yourself to other lists, such as the listing in order of arrival, by country, or by skills (such as translation or photography). Finally, if you want a little personal assistance in using or contributing to the site, you might go through one of the Bootcamps.

Hello, all!
I've been reading wikipedia for some time now. It's one of my favorite ways to look busy during the work week or when there's few hours left in the day. I'm not sure where I first discovered this site, but I've finally decided to make a name for myself. I've made a couple minor edits here and there before, but nothing big.
I'm interested in all sorts of things including computer science, astronomy, music, geeky humor, movies, you name it. Also, I collect spores, molds and fungus. As I've been bored a lot lately, I've noticed that there are a TON of stubs that I know at least something about that I'd like to work on. So I'll be trying to fix up whatever I find to be lacking in substance.

POSITRONS FROM ELECTRONS
Bold text' As mentioed in the general aricle on energy, it is readily converted from one form to another. The writer ventures to suggest that the principle is not abused verbally in saying it applies to conversin of electrons to positrons. Because of the equal energies that the two paticles contain, the conversion may be possible. Unless some theoretiical principle can be raised that forbids the conveso with small energy outlay, it should be tried. If only because other enegy sources that are available are ujnequal to furture demands. Interaction between positrons economically produced and ambient electrons would provide an inexhaustibele energy source.

Paul Klenk stops by with a belated 'Hello!'
Hey, folks -- I've been active for two-plus weeks, but haven't learned about this page until a moment ago. So, if you're one of those sociable folks who like to get to know the newcomers, please stop by my talk page and have a drink with me. I also hope you'll enjoy the new article I'm working on, New York's Village Halloween Parade. I think you'll agree the subject's an entertaining one.
Best wishes and happy editing,
-- paul klenk 06:47, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
A New World Discover-ed...
This is wonderful- a leap to a whole, new, level in my web experience. At last an articulate, intellectual, and intelligent place to share knowledge and ideas. Thank you for building and supporting this site, one and all!

I'm a participant in the Cleanup Taskforce. Please add up to {{{1}}} open issues on my desk by following the instructions at the Cleanup Taskforce page. I've been using Wikipedia since early 2002, but have not become involved in edits or created a user acount until recently. Please bear with me as the time it takes for me to reach new issues may be lengthy at first. Some information about me: I like in Greensboro, North Carolina, and am a sophmore at Grimsley Senior High School. I enjoy playing soccer, chess, and the piano, and thoroughly dislike creativity (In the artistic sense, I cannot draw, or write unstructured papers very well, though I love to read and look at pictures {Figures!}). I am 15 years old, and find the sciences my favorite subject. I can program in C++, Python and Pearl, though I haven't done so for a few years, and will have to get up to date on the current apps. If you have any questions about, or for me, you can post them on my user page, or email me at Dariusthegreat88@gmail.com. I look forward working with Wikipedians worldwide.

Height of men through the ages.
Dear Sir/Madam, I would very much like to know what the scientific findings are regarding the height (growth) of man through the ages. Example What was a man's height say at he time of Christ? During the last 2000 years how much more has man grown? Was there a time during the 2000 years when men were taller? Is there a book on this matter that I could read? Thanks Enver Khorasanee
- Enver, are you working on an article called Height of Man through the Ages, or Height of Crucifixes through the Ages? I will do some research and get back to you. Welcome to WP. paul klenk 04:56, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

I'm an aspiring electrical engineer in Phoenix, AZ. I can't really remember how I found out about Wikipedia per se, I just know that I've been coming here for the great info more and more over the past few months, and decided to register to hopefully chip in. --Uagent 06:17, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

Uh, hi. I've had an account here for a while, but haven't done much with it except clean up a typo here and there. Some friends of mine also do editing here, so I figured now would be a good time to make myself known to the world. Yeah. (I like explaining myself, can't you tell? :D) Treesock 19:40, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
