Needs more information. Some topics of interest would be: 1) Ecological effects of such a project 2) Economic effects 3) Settlement with fisherfolk 4) Effect on Sri Lankan economy.

This article focusses more on Issues to be resolved than the project. It tries to project as if Hindutva organizations are opposing this project. They are only opposing current alignment through channel which is considered sacred by them.--Indianstar 13:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
