The Commercial and Government Entity code, or CAGE Code is an identifier assigned to any organization wishing to be a supplier to the U.S. Department of Defense. It is similar to a D.U.N.S. number assigned by Dun & Bradstreet, or an Employer Identification Number assigned by the U.S. IRS.

CAGE Codes are issued by the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) and are used to identify suppliers to the Department of Defense. An entity issued a cage code must reapply annually to renew their cage code.
