Introduction

At an introductory course to sociology (0005 Societies) at the University of Pittsburgh we will ask students to write several articles at Wikipedia (of course, encyclopedic ones, I am well aware of WP:NOR policy). There will probably be around 40 groups of 5 studends each. Each student will have a separate wiki account, and each group will be assigned a sociology-stub and asked to expand it to the level as close to Featured Article as they can. I, User:Piotrus, will take care of introducing studends to Wiki and ensuring they and the project are working within the bounds of Wikipedia guidelines. The main page of this project will be at Wikipedia:School and university projects/Pitt-Societies-2005. The project will begin in September 2005 and should end by December 2005. Please direct any comments to my user talk page or to the project talk page. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 19:13, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
