Talk:Modified Wigner distribution function

Several things on this page are incorrect. The "modified wigner distribution" first discribed is the Pseudo Wigner distribution, this is a windowed wigner distribution, it's purpose is not to remove cross terms. The method discribed to reduces cross terms ( known as the S-method ) is first discribed in IEEE trans. Sig. Proc. vol42, no.1 Jan 1994 by L. Stankovic. The formulation of the method is incomplete, the formulation with the frequency window P( θ ) is an alternative notation of the pseudo wigner distribution in case P( θ ) = 1 for all θ. In case P( θ ) = 2πδ( θ ) the Spectrogram is obtained. Other then that the page is named complete wrong. My recommendation: add pseudo wigner to wigner distribution wiki. Create new page with Reduced interference techniques ( maybe add to cohen class page ). Also add rotation of kernels for further cross term reduction.
