My wife is not a coauthor

[edit]

I would explain in response to the OTRS the WP:V policy, specifically that his wife was named as coauthor because it has been verified by multiple reliable sources. We could likewise only omit his wife as a coauthor if sources do the same. So a minimum requirement for us to remove the name of his wife would be that this person should remove his wife as a coauthor from their own website where the book is for sale. Once this has been done, he should probably also contact the publisher to have his wife's name removed. (I'm assuming there is a publisher, although from the text of the exercise, it seems equally likely that the book is self-published.) Once some sources agree that his wife was not a coauthor, then (and only then under our policies) can we comply with his request.

If he is unwilling or unable to take these steps, then I would suggest that his only option is to pursue litigation. However, I would remind him that Wikimedia and its servers are located in the United States, and that he would be unlikely to win such a case under United States defamation law.

My town's library

I would put a {{prod}} template on the article, citing the lack of WP:NOTABILITY, both in the failure of the text to establish notability of the organization, and in the lack of ghits. If the proposed deletion is contested, then I would take the article to AfD.
