Steven Cantor
Steven Cantor (born November 1, 1967) is an Academy Award nominated and Emmy Award winning American independent film and television director and producer. Among his most notable productions are the films “What Remains”(2006), “loudQUIETloud”(2006), “Devil’s Playground”(2002), and “Blood Ties”(1994). Cantor has also executively produced the reality series “Family Bonds”(2003), “#1 Single”(2006), and “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane”(2007).

Steven Cantor Writer/Producer/Director, born on November 1, 1967, is a graduate of the USC School of Cinema-Television and a founding partner in Stick Figure Productions. Steven is married to the French-Canadian born jewelry designer, Sonya Gauthier, and they live in New York with their daughter, Clara Blue.

Blood Ties: The Life and Work of Sally Mann (1994) Producer: Nominated for the 1994 Academy Award in the category of Best Short Subject Documentary, Blood Ties examines the lives and voices behind the compelling photographs taken by Sally Mann.
What Remains (2005) Producer: Cantor Returns to follow the creation of Mann’s new seminal work. Her newest undertaking, the provocative photo series "What Remains," is a meditation on death that explores the way in which nature assimilates the body once life has left it, while directly confronting American attitudes towards dying.
Devil’s Playground (2002) Producer: This Emmy nominated documentary explores the tradition in Amish culture called Rumspringa, when elders allow teenagers to explore the outside world, also known as the devil’s playground. After rumspringa they must decide whether to commit to the strict rules of the Amish life, or leave their family to join society.
loudQUITEloud (2006) Producer: In the late 80's and early 90's, The Pixies cut an unparalleled path through modern music. But before their impact was fully felt, the Pixies had disbanded amidst mystery and antipathy. loudQUIETloud follows the ups and downs of the recent reformation and hugely successful reunion tour of this seminal quartet.

Family Bonds (2004) Executive Producer: Airing on HBO this reality series explores the lives of the Evangelistas. This family seems normal at first, until we find out that their occupations consist of bail bondsmen and bounty hunter. Family Bonds exhibits their lives on and off their jobs.
#1 Single (2006) Executive Producer: Airing on the E! Network the reality series documented the life of singer Lisa Loeb. She has had a number one hit on the Billboard Chart and a famous career. The one thing she does not have is love. #1 Single captures Loeb’s quest for love, success, and a family.
Kimora Life in the Fab Lane (2001-2008) Executive Producer: This reality series give us glimpse into the life of former model Kimora Lee Simmons and the team of publicists, managers, stylists, fashion designers and family that surrounds her.
