Progeny Componentized Linux, usually known or called Progeny Debian is a free Linux distribution and considered as a continuation of the project by Progeny Linux Systems which released a popular commercial product knows as Progeny Debian in may, 2001.

Progeny Debian is an alternative to Debian 3.1: alias Sarge, but furthermore, it is based upon Linux Standard BASE (LSB) 3.0, adopting revolutional technology, such as Anaconda ported from Red Hat, APT, and Discover. Progeny Debian aims to be a model for developing a Componentized Linux.

This product is derived from the Free/Open Source Software made available by developers worldwide.
